The Starbucks a block north of Time Warner, Columbus Circle had three new white Macbooks in clear view as I walked up Broadway. I've been seeing an incredible number of new Macbooks in parts of Manhattan that hadn't hitherto been Apple country. Indeed, Greenwich Village is where the old school Mac people had always shown theirs' off (as if jewelry) and I don't see many new Macbooks there. Those people probably are still paying off the credit charges for models with a fraction the performance of Mactel!
I keep recalling John C. Dvorak writing over ten years ago that he fancied Apple could ultimately be the single largest PC manufacturer.
